This policy explains how SceneForge, developed by 3PigProductions, handles information. It applies to the SceneForge app on iPhone, iPad, and Mac, not to other apps described on this blog.
Your stories and local storage
SceneForge saves stories, beat details, notes, templates, settings, and associated images in the app's local storage. Planning, editing, and organizing a story do not require AI or a SceneForge account. 3PigProductions does not operate a server that receives your story library. Your device or computer backup settings may include app data.
iCloud sync
When Sync with iCloud is enabled and iCloud is available, SceneForge stores story data and beat images in your iCloud Drive container to synchronize between your Apple devices. This uses your Apple Account and available iCloud storage. You can control sync in SceneForge Settings. Turning sync off does not remove copies already stored in iCloud or on other devices. Changes and deletions may propagate through sync, so keep independent backups of important work.
Optional AI image generation
AI features are optional. If you request images through OpenAI or Google Gemini, SceneForge sends a generated text prompt and image-generation instructions directly to the selected service using your API key. The prompt can include your story title, beat summary, character and scene details, populated beat fields, scene notes, and selected visual style. If Apple prompt enhancement is enabled, the resulting text may also be included. After a provider error, a request may be retried with a revised prompt.
The selected provider receives the submitted prompt and the authentication and network information needed to process the request. Requests authenticated with your key can be associated with your provider account. Provider retention, review, and data-use practices depend on the service, its current terms, and your account settings; Gemini unpaid and paid services have different terms. Do not send confidential or sensitive content you do not want that provider to receive. Stopping future requests does not recall information already sent.
Review OpenAI API data controls, OpenAI's terms, and Gemini API terms before using these services. Third-party API usage may incur separate fees. An app purchase does not include AI credits.
Apple Intelligence and Image Playground
Optional prompt enhancement uses Apple's Foundation Models framework on supported devices when available. Image Playground uses Apple's system interface and availability rules. Review any sharing notices Apple displays for options you select within that interface. Enhancing a prompt on-device does not make a subsequent OpenAI or Gemini request on-device.
API keys
API keys entered in SceneForge are stored in this device's Keychain and are not synchronized by SceneForge. They authenticate requests to your selected provider and are not sent to a 3PigProductions server. Exporting a story backup does not export your API keys. Do not share keys with support or include them in story content. Manage or revoke a key with its provider when necessary.
Purchases
SceneForge includes one free story with unlimited beats. The one-time, non-consumable Unlimited Stories purchase unlocks adding more stories, including creating, duplicating, or importing additional stories. It is not a subscription. Existing stories remain editable and exportable without the upgrade.
Apple processes payment. SceneForge uses verified StoreKit purchase records to check access and restore the upgrade. SceneForge does not receive your payment-card details or Apple Account password, and your story text is not sent as part of the purchase request. Apple processes purchase information under its own policies. Restore Purchases restores purchase access; it does not restore story files.
Exports, backups, and deletion
Story backups, Fountain outlines, images, and other exports create separate copies in the location you choose. Portable .sceneforge-story.json backups contain the story, beats, and saved images. Fountain outlines are text exports and are not a full backup of storyboard images. These files can contain your writing and other private content; store and share them carefully. SceneForge does not add password protection to its portable JSON backups.
Deleting a story does not delete previously exported or shared copies or information already sent to an AI provider. Manage those copies with their recipients or storage services. Turning off sync is not a request to delete cloud copies. Keep a separate backup before deleting the app, changing devices, or attempting recovery.
Advertising, analytics, and external services
This SceneForge release contains no advertising or third-party analytics SDKs and does not implement cross-app advertising tracking. Apple and optional services you choose process information under their own policies. Feedback or diagnostic information you choose to share through TestFlight or Apple may be made available to the developer.

Contact 3pigproductions@gmail.com. If you email support, we receive your email address, message, and attachments to respond to your request. Include only what is needed to explain the issue. Do not send API keys, passwords, payment details, or a private story library. Review and redact screenshots and diagnostic information before sharing.

This support website is hosted by Google Blogger. Website hosting and any Google services used while visiting the blog are separate from the SceneForge app and subject to Google's privacy policy.
